  • Before I started Pilates with Marcy (which was 15+ years ago), I didn't really have a consistent workout. I hate gyms and it's often too hot for hiking. So I was looking for a consistent way to strengthen and tone, and decompress after stressful work days. My friend had me try a Pilates session with her and Marcy, and I was hooked!

    In addition to class with Marcy, I do her 10-minute quick daily back stretch video to help manage the lower back pain I've developed due to helping take care of my elderly bedridden mom. That daily 10-minute stretch is now the life-saver. It’s quick, easy and helps strengthen my back so I don’t do further damage.

    Marcy is not only a great Pilates instructor but also an excellent human. She cares about her clients and works really hard to help you get the most out of every workout. She is great at gently pushing you to exceed what you think you're capable of (or sometimes want to do) on any given day, while also providing excellent movement modifications if you have pain in certain areas.

  • I sit many hours a day for my work and I was suffering from chronic shoulder blade pain and carpal tunnel pain. I was approaching the age of 30 and was not exercising regularly. When I started doing Pilates and working with Marcy I remember everything was hurting. I could not easily complete a full set of “hundreds” or keep up without getting winded. Slowly I became stronger and slimmer. Marcy helped me strengthen my shoulder muscles and wrists and the chronic pains were bothering me less and less until they were completely a thing of the past.
